Something else that is New from Mini

New Mini WRC car based on the New Countryman
If you like how the new Countryman looks then you probably really like how the purposed Mini WRC car looks. When I first saw it I was blown away. First that Mini was going into competitive rally racing, and how good the car looks. I think with the new model coming out and a commitment by BMW/Mini to rally racing shows that the future for the Mini brand is very bright. See the link below for a sneak peak at the WRC Countryman... it sounds amazing!

  1. Can't wait to see it perform for real. There are other youtube videos now as testing progresses.

  2. Hey Ken,
yeah I know, they all look pretty good. That ar sounds fantastic in the distance coming around the turn. I can't wait either. Maybe the factory will provide rally parts like Subaru does...

  4. I have a dumb question, what's the scoop on the roof for?

  5. Hey Rixter,
on this car I don't know. Since the cars are stripped inside they usually mount transmission and differential coolers inside and pull the air in from a scoop like that.

  6. The scoop on the roof is to circulate air into the passenger cabin. Since this is a closed cockpit car and the AC is removed, it gets very hot inside.

The vented hood would look great on street legal body kit, I think.

  7. Thanks Ken. I was thinking if they were hoping to draw air from the roof into any part of the engine compartment it would be terribly inefficient. I guess with no A/C the kids in the back seats (or zap-strapped to the roll cage) would get a little toasty. LOL

  8. Today’s automotive technology is really fascinating. I have seen many car design concepts that came to life. Many designers have a great imagination when creating or making new cars.
And I think this is great example of that.Just look at this Small Car....Amazing Car Survival Kits!!
